I fell head over heels for travel at 21, and it’s all thanks to my boyfriend at the time—who, to be honest, was basically a professional traveler. While I was still trying to figure out how to pack a suitcase without overstuffing it, he was out there exploring the world. I didn’t not want to travel, I just didn’t realize it was something normal people could actually do. I mean, international trips? That seemed like a thing only the ultra-rich or people with fancy passports did.
Up until then, my travel experience had been pretty minimal—one trip to Disney with my dad and sister when I was about 13 (and let’s face it, that trip was more about rides than real exploration). I came from a family that liked staying close to home, where everything was safe and predictable.
But then, one fateful trip changed everything. Picture this: me, lying on a mattress on the floor of a tiny flat in Europe, walking 10+ miles a day (which, at the time, I thought would literally kill me), navigating the metro like I was born for it, scarfing down Nutella crepes from street vendors like it was my job, hopping a train to Switzerland, drinking wine like it was water (because, hey, you have to blend in), and meeting some seriously cool people along the way.
By the time I boarded my flight home, my brain was already plotting my next adventure. It was official—I was hooked.
I’ve decided to create this blog to share my travel experiences, tips, and funny stories with all of you. Whether you’re planning your first big trip or looking for inspiration for your next one, I hope this blog helps you make the world your playground. So grab your passport, pack your sense of adventure (and a lot of snacks), and let’s get started!
